DONIPHAN, Mo. -- Mrs. Wanda Lou (Freeman) Bagwill, 72, of Doniphan, Mo. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. She was born on July 14, 1945 in Doniphan, Mo. to the late Kenneth Freeman and Jewell Holland Freeman. She was a member of the Wilson Church of Christ for decades and was a long-standing member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. ...

DONIPHAN, Mo. -- Mrs. Wanda Lou (Freeman) Bagwill, 72, of Doniphan, Mo. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017.

She was born on July 14, 1945 in Doniphan, Mo. to the late Kenneth Freeman and Jewell Holland Freeman. She was a member of the Wilson Church of Christ for decades and was a long-standing member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. Professionally, she was a graduate of Harding University and was employed as an educator for 34 years, having experience teaching grades K through 6. While teaching, she helped organize and begin many different school organizations to help students such as sponsoring a coats and socks program for underprivileged students, a candy sale fundraiser for eighth grade students to finance their end of school activities, and she was responsible for organization and chaperoning the annual trip to Jefferson City, to tour the Missouri Capital located there.

Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Sue Freeman.

Her survivors include her husband Dewaine Bagwill, of the home; daughter Sandy, and son-in-law Glynn Dilbeck of Gallatin, Tenn.; daughter Stacy, and son-in-law Gary McGahee of Lebanon, Tenn.; son Tracy, and daughter-in-law Christy Bagwill of Shelbyville, Ill.; five grandchildren Marissa Dilbeck Wells (Christian) of Millersville, Tenn.; Kyle Bagwill of Ballwin, Mo.; Garrett Dilbeck (Ashleigh) of Gallatin, Tenn.; Katelyn Bagwill of Ballwin, Mo.; Madison McGahee of Lebanon, Tenn.; and one great-grandson Clayton Shrum of Gallatin, Tenn.; and one brother Lindell Freeman (Sue).

She will be missed by not only loved ones, but by boundless numbers of students, friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Funeral will follow at 9 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at the Shirley Cemetery (8 miles west on Highway 160).
