Virginia Ruth “Ruthie” Six, 75, of Broseley, Missouri, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022.
Ruth was born on June 15, 1946, to Thomas Coy and Naomie Opal (Jones) Six in Stark City, Missouri.
Throughout her life, Ruth was a ball of energy and was charismatic. She was witty, sarcastic and strong willed. She enjoyed working outside in flower beds, making potholders, coloring and going to the clubhouse through family counseling. She also liked working at the workshop, watching westerns, “Little House on the Prairie” and “Andy Griffith.”
Ruth is survived by two children, Sheila (Danny) Martin-Burnett of Risco, Missouri, and Edward (Erin) Charles Martin of Farmington, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brittany (Dustin) Crane of Malden, Missouri, Courtney (Derek) Earnheart of Malden, Nathan Burnett of Risco; five great-grandchildren, Legaci, Lyncoln, and Legend Crane, Journee and Justice Earnheart; one sister, Esta Six Knight of Neosho, Missouri; other survivors include a host of friends at the Cedar Valley Boarding House in Broseley; her caretaker, Ciera Mansfield, whom Ruth considered a daughter, and her favorite caretaker, Jordan Findley.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jessie, Claude, and Paul Six; three sisters, Alta Six Lemmons, Mary Six Shelley, and Nina Six Hilton.
Visitation will be held at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, followed by Memorial Service beginning at 3 p.m. with Byron Beck officiating. She will be buried next to her parents at their family cemetery, “Weems” Cemetery in Wanda, Missouri.
