POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Violet Brashear, 79, of Harviell, Mo., died July 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 19, 1939 in Bragg City, Mo. to the late Ben Payne and Cora Welty Payne. She was of the Pentecost faith.
Violet was married to John Brashear. He preceded her in death January of 1972.
She was a waitress for many years. She enjoyed reading and watching Alice on TV.
She is survived by two daughters, Violet Jewel Paynter and Debra Kathleen Forrester, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Wilma Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was one sister, Thelma Payne.
Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday July 26 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Orr officiating. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery.
