Verline L. Rogers, 89, of Dothan, Ala., died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019.
She was born July 14, 1930 in Lawrence County, Ark. to the late Burlie M. Elliott and Dovie E. (Remmer) Elliott. She was member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are a son, Billy Tom Crow of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Peggy Sue Duncan of Poplar Bluff and Karol Dobbs of Dothan, Ala.; five sisters, Shirley Shelton of Alabama, Georgia Smith of St. Louis, Mo., Raletta Joiner of Kennett, Mo., Marie Gardner of Michigan and Elaine Cossey of Jackson, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Verline was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Johnnie Crow, and a daughter, Verna Crow.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at City Cemetery of Poplar Bluff. Bishop Steve Richardson will officiate.
