Velda Jorena Urich, 80, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Velda was born on July 25, 1939 to the Rev. O.S. and Jerlene Elledge in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. Velda worked many jobs in her life and made many lifetime friends along the way. She enjoyed arts and crafts and taught many to paint in her classes. Velda was feisty, witty and had an excellent sense of humor...

Velda Jorena Urich, 80, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Velda was born on July 25, 1939 to the Rev. O.S. and Jerlene Elledge in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. Velda worked many jobs in her life and made many lifetime friends along the way. She enjoyed arts and crafts and taught many to paint in her classes. Velda was feisty, witty and had an excellent sense of humor.

On Jan. 27, 1960, she married Floyd Ray Urich in Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include their daughters, Tonya Barbour and husband Kevin, Trena Harwell and husband Danny and Tyra Reeder and husband Mike, all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Kevin Barbour, Jr. and wife Traci, Katie Bertrand, Misty Morgan and husband Brandon, Casey Jette and husband Steven, Michael Reeder, Jr. and wife Kriston and Tyler Reeder and wife Dana; 16 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ted Elledge and Jerry Lewis; three sisters, Rita Arnold, Carolyn Hastings and Lana Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ted Elledge and Bishop Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Mo.
