Timothy Taylor Brown, 66, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. after a lengthy illness.
Tim was born on Jan. 19, 1951 in Kennett, Mo. to William Taylor and Virginia Mae (Hinch) Brown, the oldest of three children. Tim was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He graduated from Kennett High School in 1969 and from University of Missouri-Kansas City College of Pharmacy in 1975. In 1978 he established Brown's Pharmacy in Ellington, Mo., which he operated for 40 years. Tim loved the Lord and his Savior, spending time with his family and friends, reading and watching sports, especially the St, Louis Cardinals.
He was married to Leigh Anne Grogan on Aug. 8, 1997 in Memphis, Tenn. She survives.
Other survivors include his stepdaughter Lauren Martin of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Virginia Brown of West Memphis, Ark.; his brother, Terry (Elreba) Brown of West Memphis, Ark.; his sister, Kimberly (Gary) Edwards of Mattawan, Mich.; and two nieces and one nephew. Tim will be remembered as a bright, shining light by his family, friends and church family.
Visitation will be at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, 701 Vine St., Poplar Bluff, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the chapel with Pastor Brandon Spain officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Mo.
