ELLSINORE, Mo.-- Thomas Henry Crowley, son of the late Virgil and Goldie (Anderson) Crowley, was born March 17, 1934 in Ellsinore, Mo., and departed this life on June 27, 2018 at his residence in Poplar Bluff, Mo., with his family by his side. He had attained the age of 84 years, three months, and 10 days.
Thomas had resided in Poplar Bluff since 1958 and was formerly of Ellsinore. He had retired from Union Pacific as a Yardman. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed sports, playing on his farm, woodworking, carpentry, telling stories, animals, trying new things, and loved to help the community and others. Thomas was a hardworking, kind, thoughtful and dependable, good man, who loved his children and his grandchildren.
On June 7, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mary Lee Leach in Poplar Bluff, who survives of the home.
Thomas is survived by one son, David Arthur Crowley and wife Donna of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Ethel Mae Harris and husband Ronnie of Carrolton, Ga.; and Victoria Hooker and husband Gary of Poplar Bluff; one daughter-n-law, Pat Crowley of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Charley Crowley and Larry Crowley both of Ellsinore; two sisters, Gale Heidenmeyer of Sullivan, Mo.; and Nina Julian of Ellsinore, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher, Heather, Jeff, Samantha and Dillon; 12 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by one son, Gerald Thomas Crowley; two brothers, Bill Crowley and Joe Crowley; and one sister, Donna Miller.
Visitation will begin for the public at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore. Funeral Service being held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Crowley will be officiating. Burial: Walton Chapel near Ellsinore, Mo.
