GIDEON, Mo. -- Sylvia Lee Mullen, 92, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Gideon, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Mark Twain Caring Center, Poplar Bluff.
She was born June 1, 1925 in Dexter. She a member of the First Baptist Church of Gideon.
She married Samuel Edward "Jack" Mullen, Aug. 19, 1952 in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death, Jan. 10, 2013.
Survivors are daughters: Charlotte and Janice Mullen, both of Poplar Bluff; son, Sam Mullen and wife, Jeannie, of St. Charles; four grandchildren: David Dixon, Dr. Matthew Dixon DVM., Sherry Felker and husband, Kevin, Scott Mullen and wife, Dawn; three great-grandchildren: Tyler Felker and wife, Danielle, Kennedy Felker, and Claire Mullen; and two great-great-grandchildren: Hadley and Eva Felker.
Also preceding her in death were her father and mother; Sola L. Singleton and Cloa Hill Singleton, a sister, Geraldine Davis.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, until service at First Baptist Church. Service will be at noon in First Baptist Church, Gideon with Rev. Steve Proctor and Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
