Shirley E. Elliott, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. Francis Healthcare in Cape Girardeau.
Shirley, the daughter of the late Roscoe Mondy and Irene Holder Mondy, was born July 11, 1949 in Humboldt, Tenn. She was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church. During her earlier years Shirley worked as a LPN but currently was the owner and operator of P.B. Pro Med Medical Transcription Service. She loved spending time with her family and friends, crocheting and going on vacation. Shirley loved life and lived it to the fullest.
On Aug. 3, 1981, she married Charles Bernie Elliott in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three children, Charles B. (Dawn) Elliott II of Grand Rapids, Mich., Shawn Boyer of Poplar Bluff, and Dr. Joseph (Jancee) Schuerger of Seguin, Texas; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Baggett of Farmington, Mo., and Paul Schuerger of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Barbara Holbrook and Sheila Morse of Poplar Bluff.
A son, Kenneth (Kenny) Elliott preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Bill Clanahan officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery.
