Shirley Ann (Taylor) Bruce, 65, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020. She was born Aug. 23, 1954, to the late Claude and Nellie (Williams) Taylor in Portageville.
Shirley married the love of her life, Vernon Bruce, on Feb. 18, 1977, in Stringtown. She worked as a line worker with Briggs & Stratton. She was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff where she enjoyed shopping at Walmart and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Bryan Allen Bruce, Sr. and wife, Shannon, of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Charles Taylor of Poplar Bluff and James Taylor of Oregon; as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel on Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Billy Garrett. Interment will be at Black Creek Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family for help with final expenses. Family has requested attendees to wear masks.
