Shirley Ann Batson, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Shirley was born Jan. 2, 1937, to William and Della (Browning) Graham in Poplar Bluff. She married Robert Batson on Feb. 28, 1956, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Shirley enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She was talented at sewing and quilting. Shirley had an appreciation for music. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Karen Hogg of Poplar Bluff, and Lisa (Warren) Davenport of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Bobby Batson of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Barbara Lumsden of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Billy Graham of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Jessica Ellington of Oxford, Mississippi, Julie Berch of Byhalia, Mississippi, Paul Davenport of Memphis, and Emily Hogg of Poplar Bluff; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Caleb, and Daniel Berch, and Keilah and Brielle Freeman.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Katie Martin; brother, Randy Graham; two grandchildren, Andrea Hagerty and Matt Ellington; and two great-grandchildren, Evangeline and Lincoln Ellington.
The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brandon Spain officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
