Sherman Cade, 82, of Wappapello, Missouri, died Thursday, July 14, 2022 in a motor vehicle accident.
Mr. Cade was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Butler County, Missouri. He was the son of the late Pearl (Cornell) and Frank Cade. Sherman was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring classic cars.
On Oct. 20, 1964, he married Linda Ruth Vaughn at St. Louis City Courthouse.
He is survived by two children: William “Bill” Sherman Cade, Jr. and wife, Liz, of Broseley, Missouri, and Dana Ruth Henry and husband, Chris, of Johnston City, Illinois; seven grandchildren: Blake Cade, Allison Martin, Charles Hackle, Chris Hackle-Cade, Jordan Loyd, Hunter Henry, and Tyler Henry; nine great-grandchildren: Robert Innes, Madison Cade, Tori Parson, Hunter Abbott, Alexis Wendland, Aiden Adams, Julia Cade, Aine Briscoe, and Emery Hackle-Cade; eight siblings: Helen Cade, Molly Hall, Rex Riepe, Tex Riepe, Sharon Lindsey, Kerry Riepe, Larry Riepe, and Karen Hawkins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one grandson: John Hackle; and five siblings: Donald Cade, Bessie Scronce, Avaleen Hutson, Shirley Stroud, and Dolly Hanger.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
