Sharon Elaine Barker

Sharon Elaine Barker, 63, of Poplar Bluff, died Dec. 4, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 22, 1955 in St. Louis to Harvey King and Maxine Owens King Joy.

Sharon was a retired public school teacher and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She is survived by brothers, Larry Harris (Evelyn), Harvey King Jr. (Isin) and stepbrother, Timothy Joy (Sarah); sister, Julita Michel (Marty); aunt Mary Arnold; nieces, Melissa Harris, Tabitha Hoover, Danica Ruso and cousins.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father and a brother, William ‘Bill’ D. King.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the funeral home with Ron Fowler and Rev. Willis Smith officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
