Selma Lorain Morgan, 92, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away peacefully, April 7, 2020 at her residence. She was born Oct. 8, 1927 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Granville Hanks and Elsie “Romine” Hanks.
On Nov. 12, 1948, at Piggott, Arkansas, she was married to Tom Morgan. He preceded Her in death on Sept. 4, 2009.
She is survived by five children; Tom Morgan, Debbie Morgan, Diana Braddock and husband Roger, Kathy Currie and husband Joe, and Patti Baumeister and husband Chris; and one daughter-in-law, Sharon. Three sisters; Louise Shafer, Phyllis Waldrop, and Linda Hanks Owens, as well as two brothers, Otis Hanks and Gilbert Hanks. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Morgan is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son, Roy Melton, as well as one brother, Edward Hanks.
She was a member of the Potters House Church of Poplar Bluff and enjoyed going to church, sewing and spending time with her family.
Burial will be in Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery, with a memorial service held at a later date.
