Sandra Louise Plemmons, 69, of Poplar Bluff departed this earth to be with her heavenly father and other loved ones Feb. 16, 2022.
Sandy is survived by her children: Leslie Carpenter, Sonya (Chris) Manes, Greg Smith, and Keith Smith. Also surviving are sisters, Linda (Bryan) Brister, Nancy Lee, and mother, Wanda Plemmons Bean. Sandy leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Maleri Carpenter (Neil), Erika Carpenter, Colten Manes, Savanna Alford (Justin), Dalton Carpenter (Ashley), Peyton Estrada (David), Lawson Smith, Shelby Manes, and Ozzie Smith.
Sandy is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren: Shayla Carpenter, Taylor Helm (her favorite person), Posie Carpenter, Dawson Carpenter, and Roxie Peterson, along with many treasured nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. Surviving is a multitude of friends dear to her heart, especially her Stringtown Family and her church family that she thought of as her very own.
There is nothing Sandy (Mamoo) enjoyed more than being around her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved to watch them engage in any event they ever participated in since the day they were born. She was always their biggest fan. She also enjoyed researching genealogy, crafting, sewing, attending church service, and watching old television shows and Westerns.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Plemmons; her brother, Ricky Plemmons; sisters, Linda Kay Plemmons (infant), and Cathy DeRemer; niece Christa Brister, and granddaughter, Cheyenne Carpenter (infant).
Visitation will be conducted at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral home in Poplar Bluff from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with burial at Kerns Chapel in Stringtown. In honor of Sandy, it was her wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Kerns Chapel in Stringtown.
