PIEDMONT, Mo. -- Ruby K. Barnfield, 93, of Greenville, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Greenville Healthcare Center.
She was born July 13, 1925 in McGee, Mo., the daughter of Eddie and Etta (McDaniel) Walk. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, she was a homemaker and a long time member of New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva. Ruby was married to Floyd M. Barnfield Jan. 25, 1947 at Pocahontas, Ark. and he passed away April 17, 2016.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, Eddie and Etta Walk, three brothers, Audrey, Milford and Steve Walk, and three sisters, Beulah McAllister, Mary Nichols and Thelma Hinton.
Survivors include three children, Gary Barnfield and his wife Diane of Wappapello, Linus Barnfield and his wife Kimberlie of Leadington, Rhonda Rainwater and her husband Randy of Greenville, two brothers, Edward Walk of Puxico and Avery Walk of McGee.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Cari Pointer, Courtney Shackelford, Ashten Barnfield, Samantha Rainwater, Brock Rainwater, and three great-grandchildren, Cade and Kelar Pointer and Dayton Shackelford.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Dan Ross and Bro. Tommy Brown officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery at McGee. Memorials have been requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
