QULIN, Mo. — Roy Jennings Nail, 91, of Qulin, Missouri, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at Mark Twain Caring Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Nail was born Dec. 30, 1928 in Kennett, Missouri, son of the late L.B. and Hazel Nail. He had served in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Nail had farmed all of his life.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Qulin. He loved to raise turnips and travel. People called him the Tulip and Turnip man.
On June 24, 2005, he married Barbara Lancaster. She survives.
Also surviving are three stepdaughters: Letitia (Mark) Benson, Leah (Vance) Madison and Lana (Keith) Shearer; special friend: Leon Carter of Poplar Bluff; two brothers: Jim (Dixie) Nail of Gladstone, Missouri, and Dennis (Donna) Nail, Kennett; one sister: Hazel Lee (Charles Gum) of Clermont, Florida; eight grandchildren: Dustin (Nicole) Benson, Landon (Hayley) Benson, Haley Ann Benson, Lance, Holden and Brooke Madison, Alan-Michael (Madison) Shearer and Maci Shearer; and six great-grandchildren: Ivy, Jett, Landry, Laney and Heidi Jo Benson and Lola Shearer and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother: Louis Nail, and one sister: Wilma Milligan.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Wayne Curry officiating. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery at Qulin.
