DEXTER, MO. -- Ronald "Bud" Lowery, 74, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at his residence in Bernie, Mo.
He was a member of the Elk General Baptist Church and served as a teacher. Mr. Lowery retired after 40 years from Adams and McCord Painting Contractors in Dexter.
Mr. Lowery was born on Dec. 18, 1936 in Powe, Mo. On July 8, 1955, he was married to Mary Wilson in Bernie, Mo. Mrs. Lowery survives of the home in rural Bernie.
Also surviving are one son, Ronald Lee Lowery Jr. of Bernie, Mo.; one daughter, Rhonda Lowery of Dexter, Mo.; one grandson, Adam Esterline and wife, Julie, of Louisville, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Ryan Esterline both of Louisville, Colo.; two brothers, Dean Lowery of Michigan and Dale Lowery of Tennessee; and one sister, Deloris Wood of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn Lowery and Ellis Irene Perry Lowery; one brother, Don Lowery and one sister, Ramona Forkum.
No services have been arranged at this time with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home conducting all arrangements.
