PUXICO, Mo. — Roger Michael Payne of Puxico, son of the late Herman and Dora Peters Payne, was born in McGee, Mo. on Sept. 25, 1945, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 11 days.
He had lived in Mississippi and Scott City, and lived in Aid the past 25 years. He was a retired truck driver and loved his dog, Sandy.
He was married to Sharon Cox in Aid, Mo.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Payne of Dexter; two step-sons, Johnny and Charlie Fielding, obth of Iuka, Miss.; and three grandsons. Other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, until time of services at noon at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Interment will follow in the McGee New Hope Cemetery in McGee, Mo. with Watkins and Sons Funeral Serivce of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
