NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert D. Adams, 90, of Doniphan Mo. passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Adams was born Oct. 10, 1927 to the late Howard and Ermal Adams. He enjoyed raising tomatoes commercially, fishing and traveling. He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a member of the West Point United Pentecostal Church where he had served as a member of the church board for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1946 - 1947.
On June 12, 1949, Robert married his beloved Martha Ponder in Doniphan, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are their children, Nancy Cross and husband Don, Cindi Wibbenmeyer and husband Lester; grandchildren, Bob Odom and wife Danyelle, and Austin Dunlap; as well as two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kaelyn Odam.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, H.P. Adams.
Visitation will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the West Point United Pentecostal Church, Doniphan, Mo. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at the church with Pastor Chuck Carr and Bishop Charles Carr officiating. Burial will be held at Amity Cemetery.
