Robert 'Bobby' Haislip

FISK, Mo. — Robert ‘Bobby’ Haislip, age 75, of Fisk, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mr. Haislip was born May 30, 1943 in Fisk, son of the late James Edward and Ruby Haislip.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a rural mail carrier at Fisk for 32 years. He loved sports and especially enjoyed Cardinal Baseball, gardening, taking care of his dogs and spending time with his family.

On November 29, 1969 he married Phyllis Sifford Haislip. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Melissa Rushing and husband Adrian of Fishers, Ind.; one son, Robby Haislip of Plainfield, Ill..; four grandchildren, Wesley Rushing, Cole Rushing, Cameron Haislip, and Lincoln Haislip; two brothers, James Aaron Haislip of St. Louis and Paul Gordon Haislip of Fisk; and one sister, Jean Ford, Lindseyville, Ky.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk.
