Richard Henry McWilliams, 69, of Ruidoso, N.M., passed away at his residence in Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 15, 2018.
Richard was born in Poplar Bluff on May 26, 1949 to the late Willard and Anna V. (Polk) McWilliams.
He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1967 and went on to attend college at the University of Missouri - Rolla.
He was a building contractor, held a Missouri Real Estate license (McWilliams Real Estate) and was a radon/home inspector (Osage Home Inspections). In retirement, he became a reflexologist.
Richard was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #2452 in Poplar Bluff.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Frantz (Paul) of Okinawa, Japan; one son, Gabe McWilliams of Ruidoso; sisters, Jamie Bloodworth of Poplar Bluff and Cindy Dolgener (Bob) of Ruidoso; grandchildren, Lucas and Aurora Frantz and Desiree McWilliams; niece and nephews, Leigh, Josh and Joe and their families. Special friends Laveta Phyfer, Debbie and Jim Hensley who cared for Richard during his journey with lung cancer.
Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 420 N. Main Street, Poplar Bluff, MO, 63901.
A family service is planned for a later date.
