Patty Harty, 67, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on July 13, 1951 to Bill Ward and Velma Ward Shelton in Poplar Bluff. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1969. Patty worked at the Poplar Bluff Walmart for nearly 30 years in the electronics department. Patty Harty, 67, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born on July 13, 1951 to Bill Ward and Velma Ward Shelton in Poplar Bluff. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1969. Patty worked at the Poplar Bluff Walmart for nearly 30 years in the electronics department. She married Charlie AuBuchon and he preceded her in death in 1977. On December 12, 1980 she married Ronnie in Poplar Bluff.

Patty enjoyed spending time on Black River, being outdoors, deer season, going to yard sales and flea markets, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Patty is survived by her loving spouse of 38 years, Ronnie Harty of Poplar Bluff; four children, Kelly AuBuchon of Poplar Bluff, Kathy (Nathan) Kirkley of Poplar Bluff, Charlie (Dana) AuBuchon of Panama City, Fla., and SFC Ron Wes Harty of Battlefield, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Valerie Nomland, Robyn Nomland, Danielle AuBuchon, Luke Hakanson, Justin AuBuchon, Payten Kirkley, and Aubree AuBuchon; one brother, Gary (Sandy) Ward of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Joy (Kenny) Hicks of Poplar Bluff; her step-father, Emil Shelton of Poplar Bluff; father-in-law, Ralph Harty of Poplar Bluff; sister-in-law, Lee (Mark) Dowd of Poplar Bluff; brother-in-law, Ralph “Glenn” Harty of Poplar Bluff; and her Walmart family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

A celebration of life will be held immediately following visitation at6 p.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Nathan Kirkley officiating.
