NEELYVILLE, Mo. - Pastor Elzie "Sonny" Quinn, 76, of Parma, Mo. passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.
Pastor Quinn was a lifelong pastor and missionary. He enjoyed preaching, witnessing, fishing, reading, playing chess and Scrabble. He was the pastor at Coon Island Pentecostal Church, Neelyville, Mo.
On Nov. 24, 1958, he married Rose Conlee Redden. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Anthony (Linda) Quinn of Gideon, Mo., Elaine (Herbert) Ellis of Corning, Ark., David (June) Quinn of Parma, Patricia (Leon) Smith of Visalia, Calif,, Kevin (Allegra) Quinn of Visalia, Calif., and Danny (Erin) Quinn of Farmersville, Calif.; brothers, Paul, Billy, Rodney, and Bobby Quinn; sister Joann Gaines; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Hazel Pauline (Pollard) Quinn; grandsons Derick Smith, Eugene Caraway and great-grandson Michael Caraway.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday June 16, 2018 at Coon Island Pentecostal Church, Neelyville. Funeral service will follow at noon with Pastors Herbert Ellis, David Penrod, and Dee Jay Shoulders officiating under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning. Burial will be at Coon Island Cemetery, Neelyville.
There will be a memorial service held on June 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the First Jesus Name Church of Cameron Creek, Visalia, Calif.
