POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Nancy Lucille Brooks Elledge, oldest daughter of the late Fred and Eva Brooks was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She departed her earthly home and entered her heavenly home and was welcomed by her loving Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2019.
Mrs. Elledge was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff and was a member of the First Church of God since the age of 2. Most recently she resided in Grain Valley, Mo. to be closer to her only daughter and grandchildren.
She enjoyed the gift of her precious grandchildren, whom she loved so much, her flower garden and cooking for church dinners; this she had done for many years.
She worked at Anderson Home Furnishings and Ashley Furniture Homestore for a total of 52 years. She retired on May 31, 2011.
On October 12, 1963, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Ray Elledge at her parents’ home. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2014.
Survivors include, a daughter, Nannette (Tim); two grandsons, Jakob and Nickolas; one granddaughter, Brooke, of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Elledge and Laura Crews; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be at Cotrell Funeral Home from, 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27. The funeral will be at the First Church of God of Poplar Bluff at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 28 with Rev. Ben Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Church of God of Poplar Bluff Building Fund.
