REYNO, Ark. — Muriel Butler West, 93, passed away on Dec. 30, 2019 at her home in Poplar Bluff, surrounded by family.
Muriel was born on March 2, 1926 in Reyno, Ark. to Robert Lloyd and Eula Mae Adams Butler. She was a very kind and loving Mimi that enjoyed developing an individual bond with each grandchild. She was a member of the Green Thumb Garden Club, loved to travel, play bridge and enjoyed watching Blue Bloods. She had a very classy, elegant personality and was a great cook. She loved going to Cyd’s Hair Salon and visiting with Cyd and Brooke.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Henry, “Junior” Stafford and John Stanley West Sr. and one brother, Burke Butler.
She is survived by three children, Susan (Richard) Lamb of Cape Girardeau, Cindy (Larry) Wells of Poplar Bluff, Wendy (Allan) Jones of Jonesboro, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Megan) Wells and Jacob (Travanti) Wells, both of Poplar Bluff, Mallory (Chad) Meyr of Jackson, Mo., Weston Jones of Jonesboro, Lauren (Joseph) Kiefner of Oklahoma City, Okla., John Henry Jones and Allie Jones both of Jonesboro; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Bill (Jeanie) Butler of North Little Rock.
Funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Reyno First Baptist Church with Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will be in Johnston Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnston Cemetery or the Reyno First Baptist Church.
