ELLINGTON, MO. -- Mitchel F. Gore, 94, of Ellington, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Gore was born Jan. 27, 1917, at Blairs Creek in Shannon County, Mo. He attended several Assemblies of God in Ellington, Dagonia, Mo. and St. Louis, Mo.
He was a retired punch press operator having worked 20 years at Beckler Steel Co. in St. Louis, Mo. He also worked in the log woods for years.
Mr. Gore's hobbies were hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends.
He was married to Tennie Hart Gore, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include four sons, Bob Gore, Jerry Gore and Kenneth Gore, all of Ellington; and James Gore of Alexandria, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Lloyd Ice will officiate. Burial will be at the RLDS Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
