SIKESTON, Mo. — Mildred B. Coursey, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Coursey was born in the state of Oklahoma on July, 3, 1938.
She was married for over 50 years to the late Edward R. Coursey and was an active member of the Poplar Bluff community in various capacities. She was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church, Order of Eastern Star, (Silas R. Thompson #113), and was employed as a fiscal accountant at the John J. Pershing V.A. Center for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Coursey is survived by a son, Dwayne (Kristy) Coursey; two grandchildren, Aaliyah and William Coursey, all of Poplar Bluff; along with other family members, and her Masonic and Church family.
Services are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 22, 2021 at the Wheatley School Building, 921 Garfield St., Poplar Bluff. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Harold officiating. Burial will follow at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
