Michael “Mike” Wayne Burgess

Michael “Mike” Wayne Burgess, 52, of Naylor, departed this life on April 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1968 in Kennett to Jerry Don Burgess and Linda McMurtry.

He is survived by one daughter; Ashley Burgess of Corning, Arkansas as well as his mother Linda, two sisters; Sherry Lane and Gina Burgess both of Naylor; one brother Jeff Burgess and fiance’ Robin Fisher of Harviell, as well as several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Don Burgess; grandparents, Leamon and Opal McMurtry and Leland and Wilma Burgess; and one brother, Scott Burgess.

Mike had worked at Darlings Store Fixtures Manufacturing and as a lead. Mike enjoyed camping, the river, arrowhead hunting, fishing, spending time with his daughter, listening to music and driving country roads, family cookouts as well as bonfires. He had battled with diabetes and kidney failure for the pass several years.

The will be a private graveside service in the Cochran Cemetery near Harviell. Rev. Tommy McMurtry, officiating.
