Mary Lou Webb, 82, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Mary Lou Webb, 82, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Webb, the daughter of the late Herman and Velma (Shrum) Helm, was born Nov. 4, 1937, Shook, Mo. She was a Jehovah Witness for 47 years and enjoyed going door to door sharing scripture with anyone who would listen. Mrs. Webb, along with her late husband Alfred, were well known in the Greenville and Branson areas for their quilt and craft shops. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spreading God’s word.

She married Alfred Mitchell Webb on July 8, 1952. He preceded her in death May 30, 2019.

Survivors include a son, David (Theresa) Webb of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Angela, Jamie, Leslie and Dewayne; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Zane, Hayley, Johnny, Conner, Brody and Ana; and four sisters, Dorothy Tipton, Bessie Priester, Ella Mae Thornburg and Lois Jean Upchurch.

Two sons, Mitchell Webb and Michael Webb; three brothers, JR Helm, Jim Helm and Willie Helm; and two granddaughters, Willine Helm and Barbie Webb also preceded Mrs. Webb in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Jearl Griffin officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
