CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Mary Heady Hahn, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 18, 1927 in West Louisville, Ky. to Dominic and Ethelreda (Riney) Heady. She and James W. Hahn were united in marriage June 3, 1950 in Poplar Bluff. They resided in Sikeston until 1966 before moving to Cape Girardeau.
Mary was a long time member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. She was an avid reader and owned the Book Bug bookstore on Broadway for many years. She truly loved helping people and her family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Hahn of Cape Girardeau; two sons, John (Jane) Hahn of McLean, Va. and Bruce (Judy) Hahn of Eureka, Mo.; one daughter, Chris Sirimaturos of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Brian and Michael Sirimaturos, Elisabeth, David and Christopher Hahn and Kayla Graves; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Will Sirimaturos and Grace and David Chappell; her sister in law, Cheryl Heady; a special cousin, Chuck (Janet) Heady, numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James W. Hahn II; three brothers, Dennis, Raymond and D.J. (Mattie) Heady; and two sisters, Chris (R.B.) Brooks and Martha (James) Clark.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Manso officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
