Marie Annette Bower was born Aug. 8, 1936 at her parents’ farm just outside of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Her parents were Oscar Lee Bower and Roberta Isabel Holman. She had four sisters and one brother. She was a natural beauty and the Basketball Queen for Broseley High School. She married Jerome T. Kenner, son of Perry Kenner and Ina Seymore. They married in a private ceremony on June 1, 1955 at the Kenner home in Poplar Bluff.
They had five children: Antoinette Lynn, Jeffrey Lawrence, Lisa Jane, David Jerome and Eric Paul; grandchildren: Morgan Kenner, Sian Kenner, Sean Willis, Lori Joiner, Nicki Villasana and Jaclyn Kennedy; great-grandchildren are Gabby Villasana, Addison Asher, Clayton Willis, Maddie Joiner, Wyatt Joiner and Chloe Joiner.
She graduated from Three Rivers College as a Registered Nurse. She became the Head Psych Nurse at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington Missouri. She was a life-long Jehovah’s Witness and served as a lay Missionary. She died at her home in Poplar Bluff on Nov, 26, 2022. Her funeral was held as a private ceremony.
