On Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, Marguerite Adamson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away at the age of 93. She had suffered a long illness of Alzheimer’s.
Marguerite, known to all as Margie, was born on July 28 1926 in Tuckerman, Ark., to Samuel and Helen (Reid) Tinsley. She was a schoolteacher in her early years then became a full time mother and homemaker. She married Aubrey Herbert Adamson in 1946 and they raised one son and two daughters.
Margie loved gardening, canning and cooking. Her favorite pastimes were fishing and nature hikes.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and one grandson, Shawn Ryan White.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Adamson of Davenport, Fla., and daughters, Carole White of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Felicia Wyatt of Dexter, Mo.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 14 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Chapel, 844 Cedar St. in Poplar Bluff. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until noon. Funeral is at noon Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
