Margaret Elizabeth Shoumake, 84, of DeSoto, Missouri, formerly of Poplar Bluff passed away on May 19, 2022, at her home in DeSoto.
Margaret was born on Jan. 12, 1938 to the late Carl and Vivian (Pruitt) Minehart in Lavalle, Missouri.
She married Sidney Shoumake Aug. 5, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Margaret was a devoted member of Southside Assembly Of God. She had worked as a bank manager.
Margaret is survived by her sons; Ken Shoumake (Marilyn), Roger Shoumake, Ricky Shoumake (Gloria). Rowdy Shoumake (Holly). Grandchildren: Zachary, Russell, Richard, Rachel, Tyler, Ashley, numerous great-grandchildren, a brother Carl Minehart.
Margaret was preceded in death by husband, Sidney; her parents; siblings, Thelma, Veda, Hershel, Melba, Mildred, Gayle, Cecil, Bethel.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, beginning at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Lemons officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Creek Cemetery.
