Margaret Jane McLean Henthorne entered into Heavenly Rest on Aug. 9, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., at the age of 97 years. Born to John James McLean and Sarah Jane Decker McLean on Nov. 22, 1923 in Blytheville, Ark., she was married on May 29, 1953, in Piggott, AR., to William Ralph Henthorne who preceded her in death January 22, 2002...

Margaret Jane McLean Henthorne entered into Heavenly Rest on Aug. 9, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., at the age of 97 years.

Born to John James McLean and Sarah Jane Decker McLean on Nov. 22, 1923 in Blytheville, Ark., she was married on May 29, 1953, in Piggott, AR., to William Ralph Henthorne who preceded her in death January 22, 2002.

Margaret was a very accomplished musician, playing guitar with her musically talented family and having written lyrics and melody to many inspirational and religious songs, as well as being very prolific in crocheting and knitting, gardening and making many friends. She also attended the Cane Creek Extension Club for many years and spent her early life in Puxico, Mo., close to family members. Margaret was a longtime member of Bethel Chapel and Living Word Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Powell Greer and Gina Henthorne Martin, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and one sister Geneva McLean Clark of Puxico, Mo. and six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, two stepdaughters, six brothers, and one sister.

Arrangements were handled by Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
