M. Duane Sanner, 88, of Irving, Texas, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Sept. 9, 2021.
Duane was born to Ruth (née Allison) and Ralph A. Sanner of Poplar Bluff.
He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1951 where he enjoyed serving as team manager for the basketball team, and was awarded top science student as a senior. He grew up attending First Christian Church, Poplar Bluff.
Duane graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He went onto earn an MSEE from SMU.
He worked 66 years in R&D technology development and was awarded numerous U.S. and European patents.
Duane married Laura Lisle, of Fort Worth, Texas, June 14, 1957.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years; a sister, Sue Hiebert; four children, their spouses, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Duane donated his body to the UT Southwestern Willed Body Program of Dallas, Texas.
