Lois Francis Caldwell of Puxico, daughter of the late Lestie and Minnie Mossman O'Neal, was born Dec. 8, 1927, in Puxico, Mo. and passed away at her home near Puxico on Aug. 23, 2017, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She had lived in Puxico all her life. She was a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico, the CC Community Club, was treasurer of the Rock Hill Cemetery for several years and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
On Jan. 10, 1948, she married Delmar Loran Caldwell. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1983.
Surviving are three sons and wives, Barry and Connie Caldwell and Loranand Carol Caldwell all of Puxico, Jerry and Debbie Caldwell of Dexter; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers an wife, Gene and Dorothy O'Neal and Russell O'Neal, both of Puxico; and two sisters and husband, Helen and Bill McCullar of Puxico and Loreda Jansen of Dexter; one daughter in law, Virginia Caldwell of Jefferson Ciy. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Caldwell, one son, Dale Caldwell; grandson, Scott Caldwell; one brother, Freeman L. O'Neal and three sisters, Fernie Julius, Shirley Bolin and Virginia Spears.
Services were held Aug. 25, 2017 at the Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico. Rev. Jimmy Clark of Puxico officiated.
Interment followed at the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
