Linda Austin, 80, of Qulin, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Sept.7, 2024 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Austin was born June 3, 1944 in Caruthersville, Missorui, daughter of the late John Oscar and Nell Rose Allison (neé Heskett).
Linda worked many years alongside her husband farming and greenhouse planting. She enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards, and going to auctions. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had been a longtime member of Assembly of God of Qulin.
On May 12, 1966 she married Delbert “Monk” Austin. He survives. Also surviving are three children, Sherry (Donavon) Cox of Pollard, Arkansas, John (Nickie) Austin of Ellsinore, Missouri, Dusty (Jason) Austin of Qulin, Missouri; 10 grandchildren: Tanja Hooten, Paul, J.C., Matthew, and Keaton Austin, Lydia, Allison, and Emmy Atwood, Jamie and Delbert Stackhouse; 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Ann Johnson, and one great-grandchild, Ryker Austin.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gerald Berger officiating. Burial will be at Qulin Cemetery in Qulin, Missouri.
