On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Kirt Daniel Rush was called home at the age of 65. After several months of declining health, Kirt died peacefully at home with his beloved wife Angela and his children by his side.
Kirt was born on May 18, 1957, to Fred and Elsie “Faye” (Tobler) Rush in Needles, California. On June 14, 1996, he married the love of his life, Angela Marie Carson in Wappapello, Missouri.
At the age of 18 he joined the United States Navy and served as a cook for four years. His unit received a meritorious commendation for outstanding performance which allowed his choice of stations. This is how an 18-year-old from Southeast Missouri got to spend four years in Hawaii. Kirt finished his career after 20 years at Starting USA in Poplar Bluff. If you asked Kirt about his greatest accomplishments, he would have told you it was his love for our Lord and family.
