Kenny Willis, 83, of Corning passed away Jan. 31, 2023 at Corning Therapy and Living Center.

Mr. Willis was born March 13, 1939 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He owned Willis Glass Company in Corning for 42 years and was a farmer. He loved farming and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed attending farm auctions, garage sales, the Poplar Bluff sale barn and growing flowers. He graduated from Corning High School in 1958. He was a member of Corning Jaycees many years ago. Kenny was a member of Palatka Church of Christ and attended faithfully when his health permitted.

On May 13, 1960, he married Emley Rose Tharp in Palatka. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary last May. Other survivors include his children, Paula (Vince) Young of Jonesboro and Todd (Denise) Willis of South Haven, Mississippi; brothers, Bud (Linda) Willis of Farmington, Missouri and Glen Willis of Corning; sister, Margaret Carter of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Boyd, Victoria (Daniel) Houtrouw, Tyler Willis, Timothy (Morgan) Willis, Tabitha (Clay Walker) Willis; great-grandchildren, Lance and Brydon Hewett, Blake (Brianna) Boyd, and Shelby Boyd; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilburn and Melda (Davis) Willis and sisters Glyna Ruth Lillard and Imogene White.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will be at Black’s Cemetery in Palatka.
