Kenneth Louis Sneathern was a caring husband, dad, grandpa, poppa Ken, brother, and friend. He went to Heaven to be with his Savior on Sept. 14, 2021 at the age of 78. He battled serious medical issues courageously and with a smile. He was a tough old bird!
Ken was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by making the most of their own lives.
He was born to Louis and Iona Sneathern on April 22, 1943 in Brentwood, Maryland. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1961. He was not valedictorian. However, he was the life of the party!
Ken served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a crew chief on a C-130 and served all over the world during the Vietnam era. He then earned a Bachelors of Science in Business at Arkansas State University.
Ken loved to fish and hunt, He was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, and enjoyed camping. He loved the great outdoors.
On July 2, 1988 Ken married the love of his life, Donna Ledbetter. They have been happily married for 33 years. Ken is survived by his children, his son, Andrew Sneathern (Larissa) of Charlottesville, Virginia, daughter Kena Lea Sorrells (Joe) of East Prairie, Missouri and daughter Lydia Frye (Jeremy) of East Prairie, Missouri and stepson Stephen Ledbetter (Michelle) of St. Louis, Missouri and stepson Blake Ledbetter (Allison) of Parkland, Florida.
Ken has been adored by twelve grandchildren; Madison, Grace, Jones, Lance, Lucy, Jackson, Lily, Ellyana, Emily, Dylan, Morgan, and Pierson. He is also survived by a brother Jerry Sneathern (Kay) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ken had more lives than a cat. He survived a heart transplant for 27.5 years along with many other health conditions. What a special gift! Because of this blessing the family asks that any donations in Ken’s honor be made to:

Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston where the Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021.
Interment will follow in the MO Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at noon. Ken’s Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
