DEXTER, Mo. -- Kenneth Jarrell, 91, of Dexter, son of the late Elijah Monroe and Bessie Bell Hopkins Jarrell, was born in Bloomfield May 24, 1925, and passed away, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his home near Dexter. Kenneth had lived in the Dexter area all of his life. He had owned and operated the K. M. Jarrell Heating, Air and Electrical in Dexter until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening...

Hopkins Jarrell, was born in Bloomfield May 24, 1925, and passed away, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his home near Dexter.

Kenneth had lived in the Dexter area all of his life. He had owned and operated the K. M. Jarrell Heating, Air and Electrical in Dexter until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He married Keitha Davis VanderHeyde, April 4, 1970. .She preceded him in death, June 13, 1991.

Surviving are one son & wife, Terry M. & Robin Jarrell of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters & spouses: Loretta F. Mitchell of North Little Rock,

Ark., Nancy Campbell of St. Louis, Diane & Kevin McKinnis of Fair Grove, and Stacy & Jim Schrader of Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Ann Ricketts of Walhalla, Mich.; and a special niece, Jennette Davis of Dexter; two step-sons and wife, Edward Kersey of Springfield, Mo, and Wayne and Sylvia Kersey of Dexter. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Kiplin Boyd Jarrell, Carl Otto Jarrell, one in infancy; and two sisters, Faye

Strouts and Frances Carr.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter. Interment will be in the Lick Creek Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
