DONIPHAN. Mo. -- Kathyren Lavghun Stilwell, 83, of Willow Springs, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at the Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Mo.
Mrs. Stilwell, daughter of the late Proctor and Inez (Braschler) Miller, was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Ripley County, Mo., where she had spent the majority of her early years. She was a military spouse and accompanied her husband on numerous domestic and international postings. She also worked with her husband in various family businesses. Kathyren enjoyed reading, painting, doing crossword puzzles, Senior Olympics and family get-togethers.
On Dec. 28, 1953, she was married to Charles Stilwell who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2012.
Surviving are two sons; John Stilwell of Jefferson City, Mo., and Jim (Jane) Stilwell of Doniphan, Mo.; one daughter, Shirley Dintelman of Sullivan, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Kristen (Bryan), Michael (Amber), Amy (Charles), Sara (Mook), Kathyren "Kate" (Daniel), Dakota, Kurt and Kristy (Kris); and 16 great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Brenna, Jack, Conner, Colt, Cooper, Blake, Charles III, Ina Mai, Lilia, Kristopher, Alexis, Kieran, Kayden, Laci and Kiersten.
Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at the Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brothers Danny Miller and Bob Featherston officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
