Kalea Lynn King, 16, of Broseley, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Kalea was born Nov. 17, 2004 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Kalea was the light of the room. She was a fighter from day one. Kalea had a beautiful soul that saw the best in everyone and everything. She was the light and spirit the world needed to see and feel. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Kalea is survived by her loving parents, Bobby and Latashia King of Broseley; father, Jesse LeGrand of Poplar Bluff; three siblings, Kye, Poppy and Khloe King, all of Broseley, and Emilynn and Kaydine, who were like siblings to Kaylea; grandparents, Tim and Carla Savat of Poplar Bluff, Richard and Blanche Robertson of Poplar Bluff, and Chris LeGrand of Poplar Bluff; great-grandparents, Carlos and Wanda Welty of Fagus, Mo; six aunts and uncles, Dakota Loggains of Poplar Bluff, Ashley Chamblin of Knoxville, Tennessee, Monica Hill of Broseley, Amber LeGrand of Poplar Bluff, Jennifer Pennington of Gardner, Kansas and Daniel King of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at the Black River General Baptist Church in Broseley. Funeral services will follow at the church at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Krag Runzi officiating.
