June Cornell Allen, 85, of Rombauer, Missouri, was called to Heaven on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022. There she will be reunited with her late husband, Henry Allen.

Mrs. Allen was born July 29, 1937, in Broseley, Missouri, daughter of the late Joseph and Irleon Cornell. On June 2, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry Allen. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2012.

June was a woman of God who lived a full adventurous 85 years of life. June was first and foremost a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had the ability to love and touch the hearts of everyone around her. She was blessed by many nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life. She especially loved keeping in contact with extended family and friends. June never turned down the opportunity to assist someone in need and lend a helping hand. Mrs. Allen has been an active member of the community and volunteered with the Daughters of the America Revolution, serving as President of the Genealogical Society of Bulter County for 20 years, and a Honorary Life Time Girl Scout Member. June was an active member of Black River General Baptist Church, in Broseley, Missouri, where as a decades long Sunday School teacher she carefully researched her lesson plan each week to find clarity within the message of God. June volunteered weekly with the Bulter County Archives and Poplar Bluff Veterans Administration, where she enjoyed friendship and community service.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda Blackman (Kent), Cheryl Allen, and Ann Allen (Gene Adams); six grandchildren: Brandy Campbell (Ian), Jason Northington, Brice Brown, Brock Brown, Sarah Giles (Jeff), and Allen Blackman (Annebelle); two great-grandchildren: Riley Giles and Kaylee Giles; and companion: Allen E. Hall. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by five siblings: Joseph Cornell, Jack Cornell, Pearl Riepe, Grace Smith, and an infant brother.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Black River General Baptist Church.
