PIEDMONT, Mo. — Joyce F. Smith, 76 of Piedmont, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was born June 24, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Cyrus and Violet Henry. Joyce was married to Jerry Smith Oct. 10, 1964 in Lordsburg, New Mexico and was a long time resident of Piedmont. She retired as the manager of the Sheltered Workshop in Piedmont and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church...

PIEDMONT, Mo. — Joyce F. Smith, 76 of Piedmont, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

She was born June 24, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Cyrus and Violet Henry. Joyce was married to Jerry Smith Oct. 10, 1964 in Lordsburg, New Mexico and was a long time resident of Piedmont. She retired as the manager of the Sheltered Workshop in Piedmont and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Cyrus and Violet Henry and one sister, Susan Harris.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Smith, of the home; four children, Debbie Annack of Maryland, Michelle Bougher of California, James “Bones” Smith and his wife, Cheryl, of Piedmont, Kimberly Swinehart and her husband, Leo, of Omaha, Arkansas.

Also surviving are five brothers, Cyrus Henry of Arizona, Patrick Henry of Nevada, Michael Henry of Florida, Rusty Henry and Donald Henry, both of Arizona; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont with Pastor Tadd Kruithoff officiating. Memorials have been requested to the Piedmont Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry.
