NEELYVILLE, Mo. - John Wesley Tillman, 93, of Doniphan, Mo., passed away, November 2, 2018 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center . He was born February 8, 1925 at Success, Arkansas to the late Charlie Tillman and Mary Belle Warren Tillman.
He is survived by his children; Sandi Krzyanoski (Hank) of Torrington, Wy., Rebecca Downs (Danny) of Doniphan and Beverly Holcomb of Oxly, Mo. and one sister, Charlene Borth of St. Jacobs, Ill. one brother, Ervin Tillman of Doniphan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Tillman is preceded in death by his parents as well as one son; Russell Tillman, four sisters; Pearl Meadors, Sylvia Nelson, Ella Bodkin and infant Mae Tillman, as well as five brothers; Perry Tillman, Lloyd Tillman, Elva Tillman, Leamon Tillman and infant Floyd Tillman.
He was a member of the Success Apostolic Church of Success Arkansas and was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII where he served in military police. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 6 with the funeral following at noon in the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home of Neelyville. Pastor Richard Mahan will be officiating and burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Doniphan.
