John Taylor Arment, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Arment, the son of the late William Taylor and Mary Grace (Heflin) Arment was born Aug. 31, 1947 in Caruthersville, Mo. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Mr. Arment taught at the Fredericktown School district for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, football, baseball and track and field.
He leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Kathryn Mary Wiggins; her husband, Jason Wiggins; and their children; Rylee and Mitchell Wiggins; son, Wayne Taylor Arment and his son Gauge Arment; son, Greg William Arment, his wife, Kate (Katerina), and their son, Dominik Arment; two sisters, Ann Freeman, her husband, Kent Freeman, and Janet Arment Houchin and a host of nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his brother Steven Arment.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
