John Patrick (JP) Morrow, 92, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020 at Cedargate Healthcare, after a lengthy battle with heart disease and skin cancer. John was born Nov. 3, 1927 to Charles and Martha Morrow in Poplar Bluff. John and Mary Jane Raper were married Nov. 29, 1952 in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2016 after 53 years of marriage...

John Patrick (JP) Morrow, 92, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020 at Cedargate Healthcare, after a lengthy battle with heart disease and skin cancer.

John was born Nov. 3, 1927 to Charles and Martha Morrow in Poplar Bluff.

John and Mary Jane Raper were married Nov. 29, 1952 in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2016 after 53 years of marriage.

John was inducted into the United States Army on Oct. 12, 1952 and was honorably discharged July 16, 1956 as a Corporal receiving a Combat Infantry Badge, UN Service Medal and a Korean Service Medal with four bronze service stars.

John is survived by two children, Paul Morrow and Debbie Morrow of Minneapolis, Minn.; a granddaughter, Tina (Michael) King of Minneapolis, Minn.; a grandson, Michael (Raquel) Estes of Orlando, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Badger of Shoreview, Minn. and Grant Bergeron of Lino Lakes, Minn.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, John was preceded in death by a son, David Estes.

There will be a graveside inurnment, at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
