It is with great sadness that the Middleton family announces the passing of John Arthur Middleton. He passed on Sept. 19, 2021 surrounded by his family at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. John was born on July 27, 1953 to the late Eugene and Edith Middleton in Salem, Illinois. He met his wife, Faye Stroud while working as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. They were married on May 22, 1999. After 40 years of service he retired to their hobby farm in Broseley Missouri.

John was a gifted gardener, and the love he had for traveling, the outdoors, fishing, and music were only surpassed by the love he had for his family.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind one daughter, who he was extremely proud of: Nicole Middleton (fiancé Bryan) of Salem, Illinois. He will also be missed by three granddaughters: Ambrocya (Coty) Owens of Belleville, Illinois, Zanyira Middleton (partner Nick) and Sheyridan Middleton all of San Diego, California; 2 great grandchildren: Rosalina and Shiloh Jace, and one sister who loved him dearly: Nancy Edwards of Centralia, Illinois.

John is now at peace, joining his parents, older brothers: Dan and Bill, and older sister: Lorainne Goff. You ran the race set out before you. You are now resting in the arms of our loving Father. You finished well.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev Jim Sanders officiating.

The family asks all attendees be mindful of Covid by wearing a mask and practicing social distancing when possible.

Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri. Condolences: www.whitesandersfuneralhome.c
